An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a full health check of your home's wiring, sockets, switches and consumer unit. It tells you if the electrics are safe to keep using and flags anything that needs sorting before it becomes a problem.
If you are a landlord in England, the law says you must have an EICR at least every five years and give your tenants a copy.
